Indigenous People’s changing relationships with the natural environment

This project aims to explore the dynamic relationship of Indigenous Peoples with their natural environments (lands and waters) through an investigation of Indigenous practices, knowledge, and norms, in their management of lands and waters. This project also aims to develop a new framework and suite of principles for Indigenous community-led knowledge. Its three objectives are to:

• Explore Indigenous Peoples’ adaptive practices and knowledges in managing their lands and waters,
• Analyse the interface between Indigenous knowledge and western scientific knowledge, and
• Develop an Indigenous community-led framework for knowledge co-production.
